Class of 1976
Inducted in 1995

One of the outstanding athletes of the 1970’s, Steve Creamer displayed versatility on both the baseball diamond and the basketball court.

As a baseball player, Steve was a three-year starter at shortstop, hitting an outstanding .405 as a sophomore and compiling a career batting average of .375. He was a member of Lowell’s First Eastern Mass State Tournament Team in almost a decade.

Steve’s forte in his athletic endeavors occurred on the basketball court. A four-year varsity performer, Steve etched his name indelibly into the Lowell High Basketball Record Book in areas too numerous to mention.

Among the highlights were 954 career points–second all-time, and a senior season in which, as a 6’1″ center, he led the team in scoring (406 points), steals, rebounds, and blocks-all after shifting from his natural guard position, a personal sacrifice made on his part for the benefit of the team.
