JAMES FRANCIS FALLON

One of the outstanding three-sport athletes of his era, Jimmy Fallon transferred to Lowell High School from Keith Academy and quickly established himself as a key performer on the Red and Gray Football, Basketball, and Baseball teams.
Jim was the Quarterback on Coach Ray Riddick’s first undefeated football team, leading the Raiders to a Bowl Game in Jackson, Mississippi.
Jim was an all-around standout for Coach Stan Stoklosa’s Baseball teams in 1948 and 1949, earning Greater-Boston League All-Star Honors in both years.
Jim also was a starting forward for the Red and Gray Basketball team.
Jim’s athletic career culminated with his signing of a professional baseball contract with the Philadelphia Phillies in 1950.
Later, Jimmy lent his expertise to the athletes of Lowell, serving as a highly successful coach at various levels of youth sports.
